Originally known as The Smokes, Nomad Rat was formed in the late 2010s by D. McIntosh and L. Lovell. They signed to Stickwick Records in 2021, which released their second album "Silver Goblette" on July 1st. After the Preko-Stickwick merge later that year, their breakthrough EP was released on the Preko Music label. The following year, they released another album, "Freakish Spaceman", with a music video for the track "Scromer".
